Au Revoir August Adventure

Hip Hip Hooray! August Adventure 2012 was a huge success! Cadence Theatre Company and SPARC incorporated the talents of 178 children and youth and cast them in three shows at two venues as they presented Disney’s Winnie the Pooh Kids and Thorougly Modern Millie JR.!

Congratulations and thanks are in order for the artists and staff that composed our wonderful 2011/2012 season! We have been nominated for 16 Richmond Theatre Critics Circle awards in 7 categories and we could not have done it without you. And Congratulations to all of the artists in the Richmond theatre community! We look forward to celebrating with you at the ceremony on October 14 at 7:00pm at the November Theater. Tickets are $15, proceeds benefit the Richmond Theatre Artists Fund, and can be purchased at the Virginia Repertory Theater box office (804) 282-2620.

Richmond’s 36hr online giving challenge

Participate in The Amazing Raise to help The Community Foundation give unprecedented donations to nonprofits in the Tri-Cities and Greater Richmond region. During this 36-hour online giving event, the more unique donors who give a tax-free gift of $50 or more to their favorite nonprofits (like Cadence Theatre Company), the greater the chance of those organizations winning bonus grants of up to $20,000. The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia has committed $100,000 to be distributed among winning nonprofits.

On your mark, get set, give! The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia has committed $100,000 to support grant prizes. You may also make your contribution at www.giverichmond.org, but remember to do so by 6pm on September 20th!
