“Duke Lafoon’s versatility is showcased through his polished and emotional performance, chock-full of nuance.”

-Broadway World

“The ensemble is exquisite, underplaying the complexity of emotions, which makes the drama and the production more masterful.”

David Lindsay-Abaire’s Pulitzer Prize-Winning Drama,

Rabbit Hole Played April 27th Through May 20th

Cadence Theatre Company in partnership with Virginia Rep was pleased to present its final production of the 2016-2017 Season, Rabbit Hole by David Lindsay-Abaire. Becca and Howie Corbett have everything a family could want, until a life-shattering accident turns their world upside down and leaves the couple drifting perilously apart. Rabbit Hole charted their bittersweet search for comfort in the darkest of places and for a path that will lead them back into the light of day. Winner of the 2007 Pulitzer Prize.

“Lindsay-Abaire has crafted a drama that’s not just a departure but a revelation — an intensely emotional examination of grief, laced with wit, insightfulness, compassion and searing honesty.”

Rabbit Hole was directed by Anna Senechal Johnson. Title roles were played by Grey Garrett, Duke Lafoon, Chris Lindsay-Abaire, Jody Smith Strickler, and Tyler Stevens. The design team includes: Rich Mason (Scenic Design), Michael Jarrett (Lighting Design), Sarah Grady (Costume Design), Jesse Senechal (Sound Design), Emily Hake (Scenic Artist), Clara Myers (Properties), and Tommy Hawfield (Technical Director). Kristy Bell was the Stage Manager, Kelsey Schneider was the Assistant Director, Peyton Bowen was the Assistant Stage Manager, and Rich Mason served as the Production Manager.

Rabbit Hole was made possible through the generosity and support of Cadence Theatre Company’s Season Sponsor, Salomon & Ludwin, and our show co-sponsors, CapTech, Phil Rohrbach and Joe Hoyle In Honor of Camilla Rohrbach and Sarah Hoyle from their Loving Husbands, and For the Love of Chocolate. Other major supporters included the E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation, The Virginia Commission for the Arts, The National Endowment for the Arts, and Community Idea Stations.

Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire joined the cast and audience members after the 4 p.m. matinee on May 7th, and the discussion was facilitated by Laine Satterfield.
