Cultural Shareholders

Cultural Shareholders is a way to celebrate, connect, share and strengthen arts and culture in the Richmond region. Cultural Shareholder members are defined as voting-age residents of the Richmond region who understand the essential value of arts and culture to help build great communities. There are no fees to register as a Cultural Shareholder.

Cultural Shareholders receive benefits including a weekly list of unadvertised weekend bargains for arts and culture offerings. Cultural Shareholders are asked for their opinions regarding issues confronting the Richmond region through a monthly survey and the combined voices are shared with our region’s decision makers. At the Arts and Culture Xpo a mystery amount of XpoBucks ($5-$100, in $1.00 bills) will be provided to every registered Cultural Shareholder.

The current number of Cultural Shareholders is 4,600 and growing.

Register online at www.richmondcultureworks.org and onsite at the Arts and Culture Xpo.

Cultural Shareholders is a way to celebrate, connect, share and strengthen arts and culture in the Richmond region. When you register to be a Cultural Shareholder, your voice becomes one in a collective group of artists, art lovers, audience members, patrons, students, teachers, book lovers, history buffs, festival-goers and other passionate people who believe in the importance of a strong arts and culture community.

Your voice is critical. As Cultural Shareholders, our collective voice can determine what kinds of experiences we bring to our region, and what kind of community we pass on to our children. The louder our voice, the more we can strengthen and leverage arts and culture to strengthen other aspects of our community.

By becoming a Cultural Shareholder you can directly help Cadence Theatre Company receive financial support.

At the June 29th Arts and Culture Xpo a mystery amount of XpoBucks ($5-$100, in $1.00 bills) will be provided to every registered Cultural Shareholder. XpoBucks can be used just as real cash, with any of the participating nonprofit arts and culture organizations during the Xpo, to purchase subscriptions, to renew memberships, to buy tickets, to make a general donation, to register for a class, etc.

REGISTER, ATTEND and SPEND to help support Cadence Theatre Company. Cadence Theatre Company will get 90¢ from CultureWorks for every 1 remitted XpoBuck. Cultural Shareholder registration is available online at www.richmondcultureworks.org and onsite at the Arts and Culture Xpo.

PLEASE NOTE – Cultural Shareholder registration is one time only and for life (or until your email changes!). If you registered for last year’s Xpo or became a Cultural Shareholder at any other time you DO NOT need to register again. Wondering if you are currently member? If you receive the weekend discount emails or the monthly shareholder question you are a current Cultural Shareholder.
