Cadence Theatre Company in partnership with Virginia Repertory Theatre is pleased to announce their continued adult training programs and workshops, taught by some of the city’s most well-respected artists and teachers.
Cadence strives to reach a population of adults who, perhaps for the first time, seek the singularly liberating experience of re-inventing oneself onstage. Classes and Workshops for Adults will be offered to everyone from beginners to seasoned performers. All who wish to dip their toes or hone their craft will benefit from the guidance of gifted instructors who have developed creative, effective, award-winning programs. CTC’s workshops strive to provide a safe, yet challenging atmosphere conducive to artistic growth, community, and achieving one’s personal best.
Living on Stage: an organic approach to the art and craft of acting

This class introduces students of all levels to an organic, step-by-step approach to the art and craft of acting. Through a structured sequence of stage tasks, stories, improvisations, and monologues, students will explore and pursue the art of presence on stage. This class is an introduction to a particular process of work. For those interested, the process will continue with further class offerings throughout the year.
Class will be held at the Virginia Repertory Children’s Theatre at Willow Lawn.
