We stand with you.

We stand in solidarity with our Black brothers and sisters and join all voices denouncing the violent structure of systemic racism that affects all persons of color in America.

Our hearts are broken over the blatant and concealed injustices our friends of color have endured in our community and country both recently and historically.

Cadence Theatre Company was founded on the belief that artistic exploration and expression bring people together, help us understand ourselves and others, and create true transformation and healing. Our resolve to be the change we envision is strengthened.

We each have a role to play in achieving the transformation our marginalized communities deserve, the progress we all desperately need to live whole, purposeful, and peaceful lives together. For those of us in the arts, it means leading the remaking of our culture until equity and justice become the self-evident truths they are promised to be. Finally, for all. No longer for some.

Cadence Theatre Company is committed to creating works that uplift the spirit, challenge the mind, and honor both our individuality and our shared humanity. We work to ensure all of our artists and audiences feel safe, supported and celebrated.

Our hearts are broken, but we stand in resolve with our Black brothers and sisters and all who stand now to end our nation’s four-century cycle of injustice.
