8News gets a glimpse of Summer in the City by Cadence Theatre

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — 8News got a visit from two special guests from Richmond-based Cadence Theatre to discuss how to support a local nonprofit while enjoying the performing arts this summer.
8News anchor Delaney Hall spoke with Laine Satterfield, associate artistic director, and Anthony Cosby Jr., actor and performer, about Cadence’s 1960s-themed fundraising event “Summer in the City.” The fundraiser will feature a silent auction, dance and costume contests, live entertainment and more.
“And you get to hang out with us,” Satterfield said, with Cosby adding, “All while supporting the theatre.”
Profits from the event will go toward educational programs such as mentorships and internships at the theatre.
Summer in the City will take place on Aug. 25 from 6 to 10 p.m. at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery. For more information, visit Cadence Theatre.
